The Freeman Property. What's New on State Street? That new traditional neighborhood. These are just a sample of the ways we’ve referred to Herb’s project since its inception, due to the uncomfortable reality that, as of now, it has no formal name.
Will that change? Of course, though when remains to be seen. But pursuit of the elusive name has certainly been in high gear. In fact, concurrent with the planning charrette, Herb reached out into cyberspace and actively courted people’s ideas – sweetening the pot with a bounty of $500 to anyone with the winning submission.
The list grew and grew and grew. If food for thought was what Herb was looking for, he’s certainly got a tasty meal ahead of him. See below everything that came in.
As for now the contest is no longer open but you’re always welcome to touch base with Herb here.
It should be noted that the final decision is Herb's and Herb's alone. Nonetheless, he's making an investment in the charrette process to ensure a steady stream of good ideas. The project name is no exception.
